Seriously what is more Easter than deviled eggs? I never understood the name (it almost seems wrong to make them at Easter), but I sure do enjoy eating them.
I’ve seen all kinds of ways to make deviled eggs—adding beets, hummus, even bacon—but I do have to say that the classic version of this recipe is my favorite.
The most time consuming part of this recipe is hard-boiling the eggs. Jenni posted an awesome how to yesterday on making hard-boiled eggs when using fresh eggs. It seriously is a good method…I know, I just tried it and had great success and I highly recommend following her instructions for this recipe.
This recipe also gives me the perfect excuse to pull out the pretty egg platter my Grandmother handed down to me, which is so fun! It’s like two in one—I get to eat some tasty deviled eggs and be reminded of my Grandmother’s thoughtfulness.
I love Easter and all that it means, and hope you have a very happy Easter celebrating with your friends and family. And I hope you enjoy this recipe as well!
