“Watching something grow is good for morale.
It helps us believe in life.”
~Myron S. Kaufman
This is the time of year where your garden taunts you. It dangles all that green fruit in front of you almost like a carrot at the end of a stick…you can’t quite reach it.
While I have been able to harvest a good handful of things…about 130 onions, 12 or so cucumbers (and I already made pickles!), a handful of ground cherries, 3 peppers, and several handfuls of tomatoes to be exact…there is still so much to look forward to. Like beefsteak tomatoes—I am dying to have one!
I know that in the next couple of weeks I am not going to know what to do with all the ripe tomatoes. I am sure I will be busting out every tomato recipe in the book. But until then, here are some pictures of my harvest so far and the set fruit just waiting to get ripe.
